 How to Claim a Record
 Girls Records
 Boys Records
 Teen's Records

How to claim a Record:

Track Event -
1. A minimum of two stop-watches are required for a hand timed record.
If a record seems attainable for an athlete, it would be prudent to alert officials before the race to avoid disappointment if this requirement is not met due to insufficient parent helpers.
2. The Chief Timekeeper checks winning times for new event records and ensures that watches for record times are not cleared prior to being verified by a nominated Committee Member.
Where there are 3 watches used:
a. If only 2 watches agree, the times shown by the 2 shall be the official time.
b. If all 3 disagree, the middle time shall be recorded as the official time.
Where 2 watches are used and they fail to agree; the slower time shall be accepted as the official time.
3. The Committee Member will check that the Club rules have been followed, the correct distance has been run and hurdle heights (if applicable) are correct.
4. If a new record has been verified, the Committee Member will sign the result sheet and submit it to the Results Officer for processing.
Note: Events conducted with timing gates do not require two stop watches.

Field Events -
1. Age Managers ensure the rules of competition have been followed (e.g. a foul has not occurred).
2. For throwing events, the Age Manager collects the implement thrown and ensures the marked performance is not removed.
3. The Age Manager halts the event until a nominated Committee member is obtained to verify the record.
4. A Committee Member will check that the Club rules have been followed, heights/distances have been correctly measured and the correct implement weight has been used.
5. If a new record has been verified, the Committee Member will sign the result sheet and submit it to the Results Officer for processing.
Records are only recognised while competing in the correct age group in events held at A.H. Whaling Reserve during the scheduled program. All records must be verified by a nominated committee member on the day of the performance.

Centre Records
With the introduction of timing gates to events run on the straight track, the club records have been adjusted to cater for the difference between electronic and hand timing (i.e. events up to 100m).
Note * Where electronic and hand times are listed, the time marked * indicates the actual timing method used when the club record was set.
(h) Hand timed.
(e) Electronic timing.
