State Multi’s Update

Well done to the athletes that competed at the State Multi’s in Wagga Wagga.    The 16 athletes from Hills had some terrific performances in the carnival with many athletes achieving a personal best, the 800m runs as the last event of the program and provided great viewing as athletes pushed themselves to achieve maximum points so they could climb the points table.  Little Athletics website has all of the results for those looking for the detail.   Some notable performances were U14B Denzal Singleton 2nd, U13G Emma Ralphs 2nd, U13B Ashley Dogett 3rd. Top 8 finishers were; U14G Daisy Bryant, and U17B Matt Collins.

The weather in Wagga Wagga was glorious, lots of fun had in the carnival and back by the poolside for some R&R with plenty of photos taken on over the weekend  – which will be posted shortly.  Thank you to the parents that filled our duty on Long Jump pit.

For those unfamiliar with Multi’s it is a 2 day carnival where athletes compete in a range of sprint, middle distance, jumps and throw events.  Points are awarded for the time or distance achieved in an event.  Top 8 finishers in an age group receive certificates, and Top 3 receive medals.   State Multi’s are held the first weekend in March, and next year head to the Hunter Valley at Cessnock for the competition. We hope to see some new families join the competition and festivities.

A special thank you to Kings Langley Little A’s for taking our shade tents to and from the carnival.
