State Relay – Event and Parent Helper Information

Junior athletes (U8 to U11) compete on the Saturday and Senior athletes (U12 to U17) compete on the Sunday. This season the Championships are being held on the weekend of 23 & 24 November 2013 at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre (SOPAC).  Draft list of events is posted on the LANSW site click here.

If your little athlete is competing it is likely you will be asked to participate in the duty that has been assigned to HDLAC – which is 3rd Relay Change Zone (you will need to wear closed in shoes i.e. no open toed shoes, thongs or sandals).  Don’t worry if you haven’t done this duty before it is relatively simple and explanations will be provided by the Change Marshal.  See your Age Manager to nominate for a specific time for your duty.

State Relays are a TEAM event – When you arrive at SOPAC you can find Hills District Little Athletics in Bay 6 & 7.  Check In with your Age or Team Manager, Championships Officer (Mel – 0411 274 892, Bruce – 0412 825 183) so they know you have arrived.  Allow plenty of time to warm up with your team on the day.

If you are unable to participate and you have been selected to represent Hills Little A’s please advise your Age Manager so that substitution can be found.  If you are running late on the day please notify your Age Manager or Team Manager, relays are a team event and require 4 athletes to compete.
