ZONE CHAMPIONSHIPS – 2012-2013 Season

Each competitor will be required to wear full club uniform including ‘IGA” patch on top right side, registration number on front of shirt, age patch on left hand side, and centre number ‘15’ on back of shirt. Competitor entries are available to check 



Hills parents and other club’s parents from our zone, all contribute and assist towards the running of the carnival.  Hills parents are required to assist in marshalling, circular track, canteen, track entries/recorders, along with many of our committee taking on key positions to ensure a smooth running of the weekend.

Please check to see where and when you are on duty and make sure you turn up!! It’s not fair on other helpers if you are late for your session or don’t bother to turn up at all.

Roster is attached here:  Zone 2012_Roster. There will also be calls throughout the day to help on events which you may be watching and your child is competing in – PLEASE come forward to help out at these events!



A full programme is attached and also available Zone 2012_Events. There will also be printed programmes available for sale over the weekend.


Place getters

U7s – Top 3 place getters will be awarded medals on the day of the event.

U8-17 – Top 4 place getters in track and field, and Top 2 place getters for relay, will have secured a place to represent our club at the Regional Championships to be held at: Blacktown International Sports Park between 15th – 17th February 2013. Also, next best 4 qualifiers across all Zones will qualify, so you should always check to see if you qualify after ALL zones in our region are completed (early Feb).

Please inform Championships Officer if you are unable to compete at your earliest convenience.


Other important dates – State championships (U9-U17) will be held at SOPAC, Homebush, between 22nd  & 24th March 2013.


4 x 100m Relay teams

If you have been nominated by your age manager to run in our Junior or Senior 4 x 100m relays Zone 2012_Relay, please advise if you are unable to compete on Sunday afternoon, as non-participation will affect the whole team!

Please see Mel or Bruce Jones to check in. We will have 2 tables set up under our HDLA shade shelters on “the hill” near the silver seats.
