
AGM Meeting – Wednesday, 6th May, 2015
A reminder that our AGM will be held on May 6th 2015 at 7:30pm at the clubhouse. Attendance at the AGM and participation on the committee are important ways that your family can become involved and have a say in how your club is run.
The first item to be discussed and voted on at the AGM will be the be the new club constitution. Our new constitution(HDLA Centre_Constitution_Feb_2015) has been based on the model presented by the association.
The most significant changes are members of the club executive (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Registrar will hold their position for 2 years and can only be re-elected into that position for 3 consecutive terms. However as an interim measure to ensure that we are not having to replace the executive in the same year we have decided that the positions of President, Treasurer and Registrar will be elected for 1 year for this year only. All general committee positions will continue to be for a 1 year term.
The AGM will see all committee positions declared vacant and whilst many of the existing committee members have advised that they will re-stand for the 2015-16 season there are a few current members who will be leaving the club as their children have now finished Little Athletics. As such nominations are now being taken from interested individuals for all positions. Current positions are listed on our website.
Committee Positions which we have no nominations for are as follows:
Championships Officer – responsible for managing our clubs entries for zone and state relays, parent roster for zone, region, state and state relays.
Canteen Manager – responsible for managing the canteen weekly and at the zone carnival
Cross Country Officer – responsible for the Sunday morning cross country program
Officer for Officials – responsible for ensuring that we have officials for Saturday mornings and also zone and region
Sponsorship Officer – responsible for liaising with existing sponsors and securing new sponsors
