Region Championships – No Saturday competition at A H Whaling

Region Championships will be held on 15-16 February at Blacktown International Sports Park, and we will not compete at A H Whaling that Saturday.   We have a large number of athletes competing from Hills Little A’s, which means we have a large number of duties to assist in.  Please see Mel & Bruce Jones for the Parent & Helper Roster – parents please note that if your child is competing it is highly likely you will be asked to assist.  Additional information on Region can be found on our Zone website.

When you get to Blacktown look for the Hills Little A’s tents, bring plenty of refreshements, sunscreen and hats.

General Info: The first four placegetters in every individual event at the Zone Championships qualify to compete in the Region Championships. These Championships are held on the third full weekend in February, and represent a much higher level of competition.

Our Region consists of competitors from the Greater North / Western Sydney. All will be vying for a place at the State Championships. As previously stated Under 8s do not progress beyond Region, however, the top 3 place getters in each event at Region receive medals.  U8?s do not progress beyond Regional, however the top 3 placings in each event receive medals.
