State Track & Field Championships
Well done to the great performance from Hills athletes at the Region carnival last weekend, we had 51 athlete qualify. For athletes U9-U17 they can progress to State. There is automatic qualification for those athletes that came 1st, 2nd or 3rd in their event, other qualification is determined on time, distance or height across the next best qualifiers in NSW. All 24 competitors for each event in State have now been confirmed and you can access more information on the State Track & Field Championship from the LANSW website. The additional 6 athletes are listed below for each event.
The State Track & Field Championships are being held on March 23-25, 2012 at the Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre.
LANSW STATE TEAM – At the completion of the State Track & Field Championships, a team of 22 x U13 athletes will be selected to compete in the Australian Little Athletics Championships, which is held on the weekend nearest to Anzac Day each year. Each year the event is hosted by a different State/Territory Association. In 2012 the event will be conducted in Hobart on the 21st of April.
