The LANSW website is now open for entries in the LANSW Cross Country and Road Walk Championships, which are being held at Kembla Joggers Country Park, Darkes Road, West Dapto on Sunday 6 July, 2014. This is an individual and team event in an age group. Medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placesgetters. Teams – each centre may have as many competitors per event as they wish. First three (3) per centre comprise team. One (1) team per centre per event.

Nick Hough our club captain in 2008/09 has qualified for the Australian team to compete at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow (23 July – 4 August) later this year. After a string of B Qualifying times through out the season and also at this meet Nick finished 1st in the final of the Open 110m Hurdles at the 2014 Australian Athletic Championships. All athletes interested in activities to help maintain their fitness through the winter we have the Cross Country program commencing Sunday (27 April, 2014) and each Sunday thereafter at 10 a.m. at Crestwood Reserve, Peel Road, Baulkham Hills (Opposite Crestwood Public School). We set out a 1km, 2km and 3km course (and longer for older athletes as needed).
The fee is $10 for the season and concludes on Sunday 30th of June with a presentation day, and BBQ, with each athlete being presented with a participation medal.
